Biography
Born in Belgrade, Ðogani grew up in the neighborhood of Mirijevo,[1] together with four brothers and four sisters. Each of his three brothers, Gazmen, Bekrim, and Sakrib, later also went into the music industry. An active sportsman in his youth, Hamit was member of AK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Track & Field Club) from 1976 to 1985,[2] even representing SFR Yugoslavia internationally.
Later he changed his name to Đorđe, according to his nickname derived from his surname, "Đole." At the same time, he also changed his last name from Ðogaj to Ðogani.
His three younger brothers also had successful careers in the music business, leading the dance-oriented bands like Funky G and B3.
