Adrienne LaFrance

Adrienne LaFrance is an American journalist and the executive editor of The Atlantic, and former editor of TheAtlantic.com.[1]

Life and work

LaFrance received her B.A. in journalism from Michigan State University and an M.S. in journalism from Boston University.[2]

She was a national reporter for Digital First Media's Project Thunderdome.[3] She has also served as a staff writer at the Nieman Journalism Lab and a reporter in the Washington bureau of Honolulu Civil Beat.[4] Additionally, she worked as reporter and news anchor for Hawaii Public Radio, and news writer for WBUR, Boston's NPR affiliate.[2]

LaFrance joined The Atlantic in 2014, became editor of the website in 2017, and then executive editor of the entire institution in 2019.[5] LaFrance's journalism covering QAnon was featured in a Fresh Air interview.[6]
