Allene Talmey
Allene Talmey (née Allene Talmey Plaut; 1903 – March 13, 1986) was an American columnist, associate editor, reporter and a film reviewer.[1] She worked with various magazines and newspapers, including Vogue magazine, with which she worked as a columnist after joining around 1936.

Biography
A native of Brookline, Mass, she graduated from the Wellesley College. She was married to Richard L. Plaut (died 1974), with whom she had a son, Richard L. Jr. She had a sister, Georgia Talmey Colin. She had two grandchildren.[2]
Prior to working at Vogue in 1936, she served as a managing editor at the Vanity Fair and as a reporter at The New York Morning World and The Evening World. She was also associated with Time magazine as a film reviewer and the associate editor of Stage magazine.[2]
She worked at Vogue for over thirty years and subsequently served as an associate editor from 1963 until she retired in 1971. Later, she worked at the magazine as a contributing editor where she used to review books and writing biographies related to medical and politics.[2]
