History
In August 2008, the European assets of Angel Trains, were spun-off into a separate company, Angel Trains International.[1] In January 2010 it was rebranded Alpha Trains.[2][3]
In December 2019, Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP purchased a 41% shareholding from the Arcus European Infrastructure Fund.[4]

As at December 2019, Alpha Trains owned 363 locomotives and 432 trainsets that were leased to operators in 17 European countries.[4]
