Club career
Salvador Futebol Clube
Born in Bahia, Andrade began his career playing official matches for Salvador FC in Brazil, where he helped the squad to win three U-15 tournaments. In 2008, he had his first international experience with the team. They traveled to Spain to play the Mediterranean International Cup,[9] a high-profile youth cup in the world with clubs such as FC Barcelona, F.C. Porto, Real Madrid C.F., Manchester United FC, and others.
Esporte Clube Ipitanga
He signed his first ever contract with Esporte Clube Ipitanga. He played for a year in the Campeonato Baiano, playing 15 games and scoring seven goals. His performance and potential to grow led him to firm a contract with an international team.
Cumberlands Patriots
In 2010, Andrade sealed his transfer to Cumberlands Patriots in the United States. He played two seasons for the team in 35 matches and scored 27 goals and couple assists. His first season was a little bit easy because he had a Brazilian teammate,
who helped him with his adaptation. Playing as an attacking mid, he was the second top-scorer in the team with 9 goals and had the most assists with 9.[10]:3 He helped the team reach the semi-finals of the Mid-South Conference. In his second season, with the change in the head coach, Andrade played as a right winger. He scored high-top 18 goals in 17 games and had 5 assists during the season.[11]:2 He was selected MVP of the year for his team and First-Team All-Conference.[12] With the end of the season and a great performance, he received different offers from different clubs in the US. After analyzing all the offers with his agent, he decided to transfer to the Queens Royals.
Western Mass Pioneers
After leaving Cumberlands, Andrade had a quick passage through the Pioneers. On his first game of the season the team won a pre-season match by 5-0 in which Andrade scored his first goal for the team and had 2 assists.[13] In the second game, after returning from an injury, Andrade played a few minutes in the match against Seacoast United Phantoms. He brought some energy back to the game but he was unable to avoid the loss.[14] Andrade's last game for the Pioneers was a simple draw against Vermont Voltage
Queens Royals
After transferring to the Royals in 2012, Andrade played 2 more years in Charlotte, North Carolina. With a groin injury in his first year at the club, Andrade wasn't able to perform at a constant high level and help the team as much as he wanted to. During that year, as an attacking mid, he scored 7 goals and had 4 assists.[15] For the third year in a row, he lost (PK) in the semi-finals but at this time for the Conference Carolinas. He was selected as MVP of the year for his team and First-Team All-Conference.
With his injury treated and recovered, his second year was incredible. He scored 15 goals and had 10 assists in 20 matches. He led the team to win the regular season title[16] and the tournament championship title,[16]:1 with a hat-trick and 1 assist in the semi-finals (4-1) and 1 goal and 1 assist in the final (2-0), in the South Atlantic Conference. As a midfielder, he led the country in goals and total points in the season. Andrade was honored with all possible awards in recognition of his amazing season at the team. He earned team's, region's, and nation's awards. Also he was named the Best Senior Male Student-athlete of Queens.[17] See more below on Honors.
FC Carolina Discoveries
On March 28, Andrade signed a contract [18] with an American team, FC Carolina Discoveries, which plays the National Premier Soccer League in the United States. Because of an injury on his hip flexor, Andrade missed the first games of the season. He came back on the fifth game of the season and made an impact on the result. The team won with a single goal scored by him. For three games in a row he scored and helped the team achieve the expected results. The team holds the second place in the league and is still fighting for the championship.
Hamarkameratene and Moelven
In 2015, he moved to Norway and signed [19] for Hamarkameratene, or HamKam, which plays in the Norwegian football league. While on pre-season, he impressed the fans and also the staff commission of the club on the training matches and throughout training sessions. Andrade was offered a contract, but HamKam later learned by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration that they weren't allowed to hire a non-EU player in the Norwegian Second Division. HamKam thought he could get an amateur contract because Andrade was working on the side, but the second division was a too good division for this to work. So Andrade was allowed to play for nearby Moelven IL in the Norwegian Third Division.[20][21]
