Andrew Heggie
Andrew A.C. Heggie is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.[1] His special interests include Skeletal cleft deformities, Craniofacial microsomia, Infant upper airway obstruction.[2]
Education
In 1977, Andrew graduated from the University of Melbourne with honors in Dental and received his Medical Degree from the same university. He followed this with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in Melbourne. Later, He held positions such as Registrar, and Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.[3] He also became a Fellow of the University of Washington. He then became a Craniofacial Fellow of the Royal Children’s Hospital in 2001.[4]
Research and career
Since 1984 Andrew has been Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne where he became head of the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in the Melbourne Craniofacial Unit.
