Antje Schaap
Antje Dijkstra-Schaap (29 April 1920 – 26 January 2004) was Dutch female speed skater.[1]

Schaap was born in Wirdum, Friesland as a farmer's daughter. She was the fastest women at the 8th edition of the Elfstedentocht in 1942; the most prestigious speed skating tour in The Netherlands over 200 km. She completed the tour in 9.5 hours. She rode together with her brothers Jacob and Sybe. After the tour she was honored, received letters, poems, flowers and presents; also from strangers.[2][3]
Schaap died on 26 January 2004 in Menaldum, aged 83.[4]
