Appeltern
Appeltern is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of West Maas en Waal, and lies about 9 km northeast of Oss.

In 2001, the town of Appeltern had 428 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.14 km², and contained 159 residences.[1] The statistical area "Appeltern", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 820.[2]
Until 1984, Appeltern was an independent municipality.
