Arthur Luty

Arthur Walter Luty (1918 Leeds, England - 21 September 2013 New Plymouth, New Zealand) was an English international football referee.[1]

Career

He was member of FIFA in 1953–55. He officiated six international matches. He refereed a 1954 World Cup qualifying match that played between Germany-Norway (5:1)[2] and 5 friendly matches.

In club football he refereed six FA Cup matches, includes 1954 FA Cup Final played between West Bromwich Albion-Preston North End F.C. (3:2) and 37 matches in Football League First Division in 1950-61.[3]

Personal life

Arthur Luty was a Royal Air Force officer during World War II. He moved to New Plymouth in New Zealand in 1965.[4]
