History

The club was founded on October 22, 1985.[1] They won the Campeonato Goiano Third Level in 2002, and the Campeonato Goiano Second Level in 2010.

The team made national and international headlines in September 2013 in a Campeonato Brasileiro Série D knockout match against Tupi Football Club, when club physiotherapist Ramildo Fonseca entered the pitch to make a double save in the last minute, keeping the score at 2–2 so Aparecidense advanced on away goals. The team were relegated as punishment for his actions.[2]
