Association for Israel Studies
Association for Israel Studies( AIS) is an organization open to scholars in the social sciences and humanities engaged in research on topics related to the State of Israel.
History
AIS, founded in 1985, is an affiliated member organization of the Middle East Studies Association of North America. In 2020, it had about approximately 500 members.
Although the association was founded by scholars dissatisfied with bias against Israel in the Middle East Studies Association, it does not take political positions.[1]
