Awdheegle
Awdheegle (also Awdhegele) is a town in the Lower Shabelle region in southern Somalia with about 119,000 inhabitants. It is located west of Mogadishu on the Shebelle River. Awdheegle Is home to the Garre and Bagedi clans that are part of the wider Digil clan family. They are one of the major Somali clans residing in the Horn of Africa whom are native to South West. Awdheegle has more than 8 major sub-towns like Bariire, Mubaarak, Shaan, Daarusalaam, Jowhar and is one of the most strategic towns in Somalia for Lower Shebelle region.
