"Baby the Rain Must Fall" is a song written by Elmer Bernstein and Ernie Sheldon and performed by Glenn Yarbrough after he left the Limeliters for a solo career. In early 1965, the song reached #2 on the adult contemporary chart and #12 on the Billboard chart.[1] It also reached number 3 in South Africa.[2]

The song was arranged by Bread lead singer David Gates.[4] Earl Palmer played drums on the song.
