Origins
Naimbag Nga Morning Kapamilya (2008-2018)
Naimbag Nga Morning Kapamilya premiered on July 28, 2008 and aired from Monday to Friday from 6:15 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on ABS-CBN Channel 3 in Baguio. The show had a dash of everyday habits of the Northern Luzon natives and promoted tourism in the regions across the area. It consisted of segments which are always related to human needs and habits.
On August 6, 2018, the show began its airing on ABS-CBN Regional stations in Laoag, Vigan, Isabela, and Tuguegarao following the merger of TV Patrol newscasts from its respective bureaus.
Bagong Umaga, Bagong Balita (2012-2018)
Bagong Umaga, Bagong Balita premiered on December 17, 2012 replacing Gandang Umaga, Kapamilya and aired from Monday to Friday from 6:15 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on ABS-CBN Channel 32 in Dagupan. The show delivered the freshest news and latest events in the provinces of Pangasinan, Tarlac, and Nueva Ecija as well as the provinces of Aurora and Zambales. The program was later expanded its broadcast to Saturdays through Bagong Umaga Sabado, which began on October 29, 2016 and lasted until 2017.
Merger of two programs
In October 2018, it was announced that the two programs would be merged into one and retitled as Bagong Morning Kapamilya starting November 5, 2018, thereby unifying the separate morning programming that had been produced by the Baguio and Dagupan regional stations for many years. The relaunched program follows the format of TV Patrol North Luzon wherein both master control and studio presentations come from the Baguio and Dagupan stations for broadcast to viewers all throughout the Cordillera, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley and northern parts of Central Luzon.
The program aired its final episode on August 28, 2020 as a result of retrenchments after bills for the renewal of ABS-CBN's franchise was denied by the Congress of the Philippines.[1]
