Bahram Afshari

Bahram Afshari (Persian: بهرام افشاری‎, born 27 May 1987 in Hamedan) is an Iranian TV, cinema and theater actor.[1][2][3]

His most important work is acting in TV series Payetakht. He awarded the Best male comedy actor for acting in Payetakht in Hafez Festival. [4]

Early career

Afshari started his amateur theater career in Hamedan in 2003 and, according to him, chose acting in the theater to get away from everyday life. But little by little, he became interested in this profession and in 2009 he made the biggest decision of his life, emigrating from Hamedan to Tehran and participating in Hamid Samandarian's acting classes.[5]

With this migration and change of procedure, he was able to approach the professional level of acting and increase his activity in the field of theater. Much of his artistic activity is in the theater; During the last few years, he has mostly had a colorful presence in the Fajr Theater Festival.

Professional career

His first nomination for the Fajr Theater Festival came at the age of 24. In his recent activities in the field of theater, he directed the play "Hedgehog", in which he accidentally wrote and staged his life story. The show was well received.[6]

Bahram Afshari went in front of the camera for the first time in June 2013 with the film I'm Not Angry! directed by Reza Dormishian. And a few months later, in January 2013, he played a short role in the series Capital 2. Bahram Afshari's performance in the capital in 2018 in the role of Behtash Fariba made him very famous. Bahram Afshari has also acted in the home drama series of the "Del" in 2019. He plays the role of Farab in this series.[7]

He also played in the series Paytakht 6, which was broadcast on Nowruz 1399 on the IRIB TV1.

He is considered as the tallest actor in Iranian cinema.
