Batala Municipal Council
The Batala Municipal Council was a nagar palika (municipal council) which administered the city of Batala, Punjab. It had 36 members with a first-past-the-post voting system. In 2019 Government of Punjab decided to upgrade Batala Municipal council into Municipal Corporation.[1]
