The trio first achieved international recognition[4] in 2016 for their award winning[5] song "Surfboard Fire" composed for the official trailer for The Girl on the Train, featuring a sample of Kanye West's "Heartless".[6][7][8] Soon after, Blitz//Berlin composed the original scores to the critically acclaimed feature films The Void[9][10] and Still/Born.[11][12] Additionally, their continued trailer work includes Fifty Shades Darker,[13] Bad Times at the El Royale,[14] The Girl in the Spider's Web,[15] Bird Box,[16] and many others.[2]

In 2017, Blitz//Berlin was nominated for a Juno Award for Instrumental album of the year.[17]
