Brotherhood Without Violence

The Brotherhood Without Violence is a movement within the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.[1] It was established on 10 July 2013 by approximately 500 young members of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood,[1] though it has since expanded to about 1,400 members. The founder of the group is Ahmed Yahia.[2] The media spokesman is Hussein Abdel Rahman.[3] The members have called for new elections to be held to the guidance bureau of the Brotherhood.[1] The Brotherhood Without Violence movement has backed Hamdeen Sabahi in the 2014 Egyptian presidential election.[4] The logo of the group replaces the swords in the Muslim Brotherhood logo with olive branches.[5]
