Byakul Maila
Byakul Maila (Pradeep Kumar Rai) is the lyricist of current Nepalese national anthem titled Sayaun Thunga Phulka. His writing was selected to be the national anthem of the newly declared Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal in November 30, 2006 out of 1272 submissions. The new national anthem is meant to be representative of the new era in the history of Nepal, after the abolition of monarchy in 2006. Amber Gurung composed music for the song.[1][2][3]

सयौँ थूंगा फूलका हामी, एउटै माला नेपाली सार्वभौम भई फैलिएका, मेची-महाकाली।
प्रकृतिका कोटि-कोटि सम्पदाको आँँचल वीरहरूका रगतले स्वतन्त्र र अटल।
ज्ञानभूमि, शान्तिभूमि, तराई, पहाड, हिमाल अखण्ड यो प्यारो हाम्रो मातृभूमि नेपाल।
:बहुल जाति, भाषा, धर्म, संस्कृति छन् विशाल अग्रगामी राष्ट्र हाम्रो, जय जय नेपाल।

Prakṛtikā koṭi-koṭi sampadāko ā̃cala, vīrharūkā ragatale, svatantra ra aṭala
Jñānabhūmi, śāntibhūmi Tarāī, Pahāḍ, Himāla, akhaṇḍa yo pyāro hāmro mātṛbhūmi Nepāla
Bahul jāti, bhāṣā, dharma, saṃskṛti chan viśāla agragāmī rāṣṭra hāmro, jaya jaya Nepāla!.

- Made of hundreds of flowers, we a single garland Nepali
- Staying independent we have scattered from Mechi to Mahakali
- With the quilt of billions of natural heritages
- Independent and immovable because of the blood of the brave.
- Land of knowledge, land of peace, terai, hills, mountains
- Indivisible, our loved motherland, Nepal
- Hundreds of races, language, religion; traditions are huge
