Cascade Alpine Guide
The Cascade Alpine Guides are a series of three climbing guides written by Fred Beckey, longtime explorer and climber of the Cascade Mountains in Washington and British Columbia. The guides outline routes to summit every peak of any significance in the region. Many photos in the books were credited to USGS scientist Austin Post, but in fact Austin Post was merely the gentleman who answered Fred's requests for images. The original photographers are lost to history. The guides are published by The Mountaineers.
