Cayo Levantado
Cayo Levantado, is an islet in Samaná Bay, which belongs administratively to Samaná Province, in the Dominican Republic.
It is a well-known tourist destination in the Dominican Republic. The nearest airport, Samaná El Catey International Airport is 68 kilometers away, and the island has a hotel run by Bahia Principe.[1]
It has picked up the nickname Bacardi Island due to its location use in advertisements for the white rum spirit manufacturer Bacardi.[2]
