Background
After Geri Halliwell's departure, the Spice Girls had a hiatus in 1999.[1] The other members started their solo careers in music, but Bunton devoted to television projects and presented her own VH1's show, Emma.[2] After the original screening VH1 wanted to sign a long-term program with Bunton, but she declined, focusing on her group's new album.[3] The show was announced in 12 August and aired originally in October 8, with five weekly episodes.[4] In 2000 she signed with ITV and hosted the breakfast programme, broadcast on weekdays from 9.00 am to 10.00 am.[5] Bunton talked about the celebrity universe, including news about music, films and interviews with artists as Madonna and Bon Jovi.[6] She left the program to start her solo career.[7]
