Chris Conway (recording engineer)

Chris Conway is an American Audio Engineer, Producer, and Composer based in New York City, who is best known for his work with Eminem, D.I.T.C. , Big Pun, and The Notorious B.I.G.. Chris received a Grammy nomination for his work on The Marshall Mathers LP,[1] and has several Gold and Platinum awarded records in his credits.

Early life and education

Chris started playing drums at the age of 4 and was Tympanist and 1st percussionist with the Empire State Youth Orchestra. He attended the world-renowned School of Orchestral Studies where he studied with Gerald Carlyss and Alan Abel. He then received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from State University of New York at Purchase School of Music. While touring and recording with Famed Irish singer Barbara Gogan of the Passions, Chris decided to make the jump to engineering and producing and took an internship at Power Play studios. After the success of several projects, he quickly became "one of the go-to engineers" in the NYC Hip Hop scene.[2]

Recent Work

Chris continues to work with a new generation of Hip Hop artists including his work with DJ Khaled[3] and R.A. The Rugged Man.[4] A new direction in his work includes composing and scoring films such as "Loitering With Intent"[5] and "Amnesiac".[6]

Chris has been engineering, producing and composing for No Mystery Media Partners in Manhattan, since 2011.[7]
