In 2009, despite Tairi not being in the New South Wales Swifts squad, Tairi was a temporary replacement player for Vanessa Ware and played in one 2009 ANZ Championship match.
In 2010, Tairi was officially one of the twelve squad members for the New South Wales Swifts. In the ANZ Championship season, while Vanessa Ware was injured (due to back injury in the early matches and suffered an ACL in the later matches), Tairi played at either Wing Attack or Centre positions.
In 2011, Tairi pushed to the Swifts starting seven. Late in the season, it was confirmed that Tairi would be signing with New Zealand club the Southern Steel for the 2012.
