Dónall Ó Héalai
Dónall Ó Héalai (Irish: [ˈd̪ˠoːnˠəl̪ˠ oː ˈheːlˠiː]; often spelled Ó Héalaí; born 1987) is an Irish actor and voice actor. He has been identified as a "Star of Tomorrow" by Screen International[2] and described as "one to watch in 2021" by The Irish Examiner.[3]

Background
Ó Héalaí grew up in Conamara, Galway and is based in the west of Ireland. He began acting at the age of 14 at a local youth club.[4][5]
He is a graduate of Maynooth University, where he was awarded the Dr. H.H Stewart Literary Prize during his studies.[6] And later graduated from the Bow Street Academy of screen acting in Dublin.[7]
A native speaker of Irish, In 2018 Ó Héalaí gave a TEDxBerkeley talk on the Irish Language and Beauty.[8]

- 2015 - My Name is Emily, which was nominated for Best Film at Galway Film Fleadh and at Irish Film & Television Awards
- 2016 - Catch 22, Film
- 2017 - Loud Places, Film [1]
- 2018 - Red Dead Redemption 2, best-selling video game.[9]
- 2019 - Impossible Monsters, played at the HBO Latino Film Festival in New York City.[10]
- 2019 - Arracht, period drama which won Best Irish film at Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF) 2020 and the Audience Award at the Glasgow Film Festival 2020.[11] This was Ó Héalai's first lead role.[3]
- 2020 - Sínte, short film.[12]
- 2021 - Foscadh, upcoming screen adaptation of a novel by Donal Ryan[2][13]
