Music video
The music video for "DJ" was filmed in Miami, Florida and directed by Patrick Kiely. The video follows H & Claire to a house party where they enjoy themselves. There were two versions of the video, one with extended scenes. There are certain Steps fans who believe that the DJ, a female guest swimming and a woman in a red dress were all supposed to resemble their former bandmates Lee Latchford-Evans, Lisa Scott-Lee and Faye Tozer.
Chart performance
Debuting on the charts at No. 3, "DJ" was H & Claire's most successful single. It spent eleven weeks in the UK top 75, four of those weeks in the top 40. The song sold approximately 90,000 copies in the United Kingdom. The single was released in the same week as former bandmate Faye Tozer's debut solo single, a duet with opera singer Russell Watson, though Tozer's song peaked at No. 10.
