Dan Knott Junior High
Dan Knott Junior High is a junior high school in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, located in the Knottwood community. The school is highly respected by the city of Edmonton for its focus on academics and learning. Today's Parent Magazine named it in the top 40 schools in Canada in the rising to the challenge section.[1]

The school is well known for its leadership program, Dragonfire, and its grade 8 counterpart, Dragonflame. The school is also known for its pre-advanced placement program in all grades. The school's Provincial Achievement Test results have consistently placed above the provincial average. Dan Knott School is named after former Edmonton mayor Dan Knott. In 2017 the Edmonton Public School Board promised to debate changing the school's name due to Dan Knott's association with the Alberta branch of the KKK.[2]
