Daniel Whitner
Daniel Whitner (January 17, 1952 - September 23, 2005) was an American actor.
Biography
He was born in Newark, New Jersey on January 17, 1952. Daniel was the youngest of 10 children, and attended Essex Catholic High School in Newark, New Jersey. He began his studies at New York University at the age of 15. He was also the uncle of actor, stuntperformer and producer Giacomo Knox.[1]
Acting career
Although a veteran stage actor, Daniel found his way into movies appearing in Nighthawks with Sylvester Stallone, and most notably he played opposite Nicolas Cage in The Family Man as Frank The Security Guard. He appeared in many television commercials, and most recently a Price Waterhouse commercial with Sam Watterson. Daniel also did many radio voice-overs, and voiced a pedestrian in the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.[2] "From an early age, it was clear that Daniel A. Whitner had a love of acting, a bug that bit him early and kept his interest throughout life. Acting always was a central component as far back as his involvement with benefit performances showcased by Queen of Angels Church in Newark in the early 1960s, according to his family."[3]
Death
Daniel died on September 23, 2005 of pancreatic cancer. He was buried at Queen of Angels Church in Newark, New Jersey on September 28, 2005.[4]
