Darya Sorokina
Darya Sorokina (born November 29, 2002) is an Azerbaijani individual and group rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2020 European Group All-around silver medalist.[3]

Career
Junior
In 2015, she joined Azerbaijani junior group which competed at the 2015 Junior European Championships in Minsk, Belarus and placed 4th in Group All-around and 5 Balls final. Next year, she competed at Azerbaijani Junior Championships and took 3rd place in All-around competition.
In 2017, she was a part of Azerbaijani junior group again. They competed at International Tournament Citta di Pesaro and took 3rd place in Group All-around competition. She and her teammates also competed at the 2017 Junior European Championships in Budapest, Hungary and finished on 9th place in Group All-around.
Senior
In 2018, she switched to competing as an individual gymnast and made her senior international debut at the 2018 Portimao World Challenge Cup, where she took 25th place in All-around. She also competed at the 2018 Minsk World Challenge Cup and placed 45th in All-around. Together with Zohra Aghamirova and Veronika Hudis she was a part of Azerbaijani team that competed at the 2018 World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria and took 9th place in Team and 64th place in All-around competition.
In 2019, she took 45th place in All-around at the 2019 Sofia World Cup. Then she started training with Azerbaijani senior group and appeared at 2019 Cluj-Napoca World Challenge Cup replacing Siyana Vasileva. Her team took silver medal with 5 Balls and bronze with 3 Hoops + 4 Clubs. She competed at the 2019 World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, which was her second World championship appearance.
In 2020, she competed at the 2020 European Championships, her third one. Together with Laman Alimuradova, Zeynab Hummatova, Yelyzaveta Luzan and Maryam Safarova she won silver medal in Group All-around and bronze medal in 3 Hoops + 4 Clubs final. They also won bronze medal in Team competition together with juniors.[4]
