Dick Spady
Richard Jack Spady (October 15, 1923 – January 10, 2016) was the co-founder of Dick's Drive-In. He was born in Portland, Oregon, and moved to Seattle after military service in World War II and the Korean War. In 1954, with two partners whose shares he later bought out, he opened the first Dick's Drive-In in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood. [1][2]
