Direct carrier billing
Direct carrier billing (DCB) is an online mobile payment method which allows users to make purchases by charging payments to their mobile phone carrier bill.[1] The global direct carrier billing market was valued at US$ 29.8 billion in 2019.[2]
The method is useful in developing countries and undeveloped areas where credit card usage is not widespread. In India, only two percent of the population has a credit card whereas mobile phones are widespread.[3]
