"Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Got Out of Hand" is a song written and recorded by American country music artist Waylon Jennings. It released in October 1978 as the second single from his album I've Always Been Crazy. The song peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.[1] It also reached number 1 on the RPM Country Tracks chart in Canada.[2]

The song is based heavily on Jennings's own longstanding addiction to cocaine and other drugs, which culminated in a 1977 arrest on federal drug charges. The "outlaw bit" in question was the outlaw movement in country music of which Jennings was a prominent member; the song thus notes on the beginning of the end of the movement, as Jennings never intended to be a literal outlaw.
