Dreaming Apes
Dreaming Apes (1996) is the third full-length studio album from the German synthpop/industrial duo Wolfsheim. "Closer Still" was the first single released for radio. Produced by José Alvarez-Brill, Dreaming Apes spans a variety of musical genres, including remnants of Wolfsheim's earlier industrial sound ("A New Starsystem Has Been Explored", "Upstairs"), acoustic ballads ("Old Man's Valley", "Übers Jahr"), and several instrumental pieces ("Traces of China", "Old Piano Theme"). The album is bilingual, featuring seven English-language tracks and two German-language tracks.
