Dzigbordi Dosoo

Dzigbordi Dosoo is a Ghanaian business woman, speaker and consultant who owns a talk show called The Dzigbordi Show which airs in 46 countries in Africa, the UK and Europe.[1][2][3] She is the co-creator for an African skin and body care aromatherapy and spa line product called Kanshi. She is the founder and Chief Executive officer for Allure Africa, a brand she has successfully marketed in Ghana and beyond.[4][5][6][7][8] As a result, In 2009 she was adjudged the Marketing Woman of the Year by the Chartered Institute of Marketing. And on the 1st May 2017 she was honoured with the Inspiration Award at the Repêchage Annual Conference in New York. She was one of six to be presented a Repêchage President's Award that year.[9][10]

Early life and education

Dosoo received her secondary level education at the Accra Girls Senior High School, after which, she left for the United States.[11] There she studied at Virginia State University, graduateding with a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting.[12] She has acquired executive education from Harvard University. She is also a certified Image, Etiquette and International Protocols Expert.[13]

Career

In 1998 when the concept of spa was non existent and unwelcoming in the Ghanaian society, Dosoo saw an opportunity. With two people and her living room in Osu, she established the Allure Saloon which has now grown into Allure Africa. Prior to that she worked in finance. She has 10 years experience in Investment Banking and International Trade Consulting. She founded Business Linkages International, a financial services consultancy, which transitioned into the Eagle Group in 2004.[10]

Personal life

She was the wife of the late Lionel Van Lare Dosoo,[2] a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana. She is the mother of one child.[12][13]
