Eburru

Eburru is a village in Kenya. Eburru is found in Kenya's countryside, along the Great Rift Valley. It is located approximately 7 hours outside Keyna's capital, Nairobi, near the Ol Doinyo Eburru volcano.

For the tourist, the main interest is to ask to a local guide to go up with a good car, like a 4 x 4, from the road leading to the Naivasha Lake. After driving about 1 hour you come in full nature. By a small track get down to the volcano. Down it is possible to take a "bath" of steam. Steam gets out of the hill at high temperature, so you have to come with your bathing costume and towels. Outside of this place, the temperature is about 10°C. I went many times in Kenya (my wife is from Nakuru), that is the best experience I have ever had. Eburru means in the local Masaï language, steam.

Eburru is home to Primary and Secondary Schools. A high school was built in 2017–18 with the help of local missionary, Pastor Steve Njenga, and his family.[1][2]
