Elisabeth of Nassau-Dillenburg, Countess of Wied
Elisabeth of Nassau-Dillenburg (1 December 1488 – 3 June 1559 in Dillenburg) was a member of the House of Nassau. She was a daughter of John V of Nassau-Dillenburg and his wife Elisabeth of Hesse-Marburg. Her brothers were Henry III of Nassau-Breda, John of Nassau-Vianden-Dietz, Ernest of Nassau and William the Rich. Her sister was Maria of Nassau.

Marriage and issue
She married on 1 February 1506 to John of Wied-Runkel (c. 1485 – 18 May 1533). He was a son of Frederick of Wied-Runkel (c. 1425 – 31 August 1487) and Agnes of Virneburg (c. 1430 – 12 March 1478). Her mother-in-law was a sister of Countess Genoveva of Virneburg, who was married to Henry II, Count of Nassau-Dillenburg.
Elisabeth and John had the following children:
- Elisabeth (c. 1508 – 24 July 1524). She married in 1527 to Anthony of Isenburg-Büdingen (2 August 1501 – 25 October 1560). He was a son of Philip of Isenburg-Büdingen (20 March 1467 – 22 February 1526) and Amalia of Loon-Rieneck (29 November 1478 – c. 1543).
- John IV (c. 1510 – 15 June 1518 in Runkel). He married in 1543 in Königstein to Catherine (26 March 1525 – 15 June 1581 in Runkel), the daughter of Philip II, Count of Hanau-Münzenberg (17 August 1501 – 28 March 1529) and Juliana of Stolberg-Wernigerode (15 February 1506 in Stolberg – 18 June 1580 in Dillenburg), who after Philip's death remarried to William the Rich.
- Margaret (c. 1516 – 5 August 1571). She married:
- on 29 September 1523 to Bernard of Bentheim (c. 1495 – 4 May 1528). He was a son of Eberwin II, Count of Bentheim
- on 19 February 1534 to Arnold of Manderscheid-Blankenheim (14 November 1500 – 6 May 1548)
- Walpurga Johanna (c. 1518 – 3 October 1578). She married on 22 January 1528 in Königstein to Louis, Count of Stolberg (12 January 1505 in Stolberg – 1 September 1574 in Wertheim). He was a son of Bodo VIII, Count of Stolberg-Wernigerode (4 January 1467 in Stolberg – 18 June 1538 in Stolberg) and Anna of Eppstein-Königstein (1481 in Königstein – 7 August 1538 in Stolberg)
- Agnes (c. 1520 – 3 April 1588 in Sonnewalde). She married:
- c. 1540 to Caspar of Mansfeld (c. 1522 – 26 October 1542). He was a son of Albert of Mansfeld (c. 1485 – 5 March 1560) and Anna of Honstein (c. 1500 – 14 February 1599)
- in 1545 to Frederick Magnus I, Count of Solms-Laubach (1 October 1521 – 13 January 1561 in Laubach). He was a son of Otto of Solms-Lich (11 May 1496 – 14 May 1522 in Lich) and Anna of mecklenburg-Schwerin (14 September 1485 in Wismar – 12 May 1525 in Rodelheim)
- Genoveva (c. 1522 – 26 June 1556 in Stolberg). She married on 28 February 1526 in Königstein to Wolfgang, Count of Stolberg-Stolberg (1 October 1501 in Stolberg – 8 March 1552 in Allstedt). He was the widower of Dorothea of Regenstein-Blankenburg (6 April 1526 in Blankenburg – 19 May 1545 in Stolberg) and, like Walpurga Johanna's husband, he was a son of Bodo VIII, Count of Stolberg-Wernigerode and Anna of Eppstein-Königstein
- Maria (c. 1522 – 15 March 1563). She married on 22 June 1554 to Christopher of Limpurg-Gaildorf (12 July 1531 – 3 September 1574 in Obersontheim). He was a son of William of Limpurg-Gaildorf (12 April 1498 – 9 March 1552) and Anna della Scala Leiter (1510-1560).
