She has career-high WTA rankings of 234 in singles, achieved on 25 September 2017, and 125 in doubles, achieved on 21 August 2017. Bektas has won three singles titles and 15 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. Her biggest singles win to date came at the 2017 Coleman Vision Tennis Championships in Albuquerque.
Bektas had her Grand Slam main-draw debut at the 2016 US Open in the mixed doubles with Evan King, where they fell in the first round. The following year she partnered with Amanda Anisimova in doubles, where they also fell in the first round.
Bektas attended college at the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2015.
