Ester Stølen

Ester Stølen (born 12 November 1975 in Gol, Norway) is a Norwegian former long track speed skater, who was active between 1988 and 2002.[1]

Stølen represented her nation twice at the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships for Women and twice at the World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships. She participated at the Sprint World Championships in 1997, finishing 23rd overall and in 1998, finishing 29th overall.[2] At the 1998 World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships she competed in the 500 metres event (22nd) and 1000 metres event (21st) and at the 1999 World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships also in the 500 metres event (20th) and 1000 metres event (20th). She also competed at other international competitions, including at ISU Speed Skating World Cups.[2]

Between 1994 and 2002 she had 32 starts at national championships. She became twice national champion in the 500 metres. Furthermore, she won ten silver and nine bronze medals at national championships.[2]

Stølen married speed skater Lasse Sætre in 2002.
