Fania Bergstein

Fania Bergstein (Hebrew: פניה ברגשטיין) was a Hebrew poet, who wrote mainly for children. Bergstein was born in 1908 in Ščučyn, Russian Empire (now in Belarus) where she received received a Hebrew and a Russian education.[1] In her youth she participated in the Zionist youth movement He-Halutz Hatzair. In 1930 she immigrated to British Mandate of Palestine, and joined Kibbutz Gvat.[2] She died of heart failure at the age of 42, on September 18, 1950.

Her first poerty book was Batzir, published in 1939.[3]
