Ferdia Walsh-Peelo
Ferdia Walsh-Peelo (born 12 October 1999[1][2]) is an Irish actor and musician.[3][4] He is best known for playing Conor "Cosmo" Lawlor in his debut film Sing Street in 2016, and as King Alfred the Great in Vikings.

Education
Walsh-Peelo attended Coláiste Ráithín, a Gaelscoil in Bray, and Wicklow Educate Together National School in County Wicklow.[5]
Career
Born in Ashford, County Wicklow, he began his musical career as a boy soprano at the age of seven coached by his mother, soprano Toni Walsh.[5] Winning many prizes throughout his early years, he was eventually cast in Mozart's Magic Flute aged twelve, which toured Ireland.[5] Walsh-Peelo followed this up with the part of Miles in Britten's Turn of the Screw.[5] In 2012, he appeared on Irish television in the famous Late Late Toy Show singing and playing piano.[5]
In 2016, Walsh-Peelo made his acting debut in the musical comedy-drama film Sing Street along with Lucy Boynton.[6] The film was directed by John Carney.[7]
He sings and plays guitar and piano, performing live with Sing Street co-star Mark McKenna after the film's showing at the Sundance Film Festival.[8]
He was signed by William Morris Endeavor in the US and Independent Talent in the UK in 2015.[9]
Walsh-Peelo plays the role of Alfred the Great from season five of Vikings.[10][11]
He is also the Ambassador for UNICEF Ireland's program 'Emergency Lessons', aimed at providing education to children caught up in emergencies.[12]
