German Film Award for Best Documentary Film
The German Film Award for Best Documentary Film is the award given for best German feature documentary film at the annual Deutscher Filmpreis awards, the German national film awards. The category has been introduced in 2000.
As in 2020, next to a Lola statuette in Gold the winning film receives 200.000 Euro. A nomination is endowed with 100.00 Euro. In 2012 the number of nominated films was raised from two to three.
