Glenn Mena

Akauveh Erumena Glenn (born July 22, 1985), better known by his stage name Glenn Mena, is a Nigerian-South African singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist.

Personal life

Glenn Mena is the second son out of five siblings, born into the Family of Meshach Akauveh Akarah and Regina I. Akarah[2] and a Business Administration graduate from Lead City University, Ibadan.[3]

Career

Mena began making music with his friend in secondary school.[4] He was nominated for a City People Entertainment Award.[5] At the 2013 MAYA Awards he was the winner of the "Best New Act"[6] category and the same song also won him another nomination in the "Next Rated Act" category at the 2015 Scream All Youths Awards.[7]

In 2015, he released a single titled "Packaging".[8] In January 2017, he was featured on TV Presenter Shine Begho's "Mischief Show"[9] where he hinted at the release of his first ever EP Mask&Music.[10] In August 2017, he released the low-tempo song "Take Over".[11][12] In 2018, he released the single "Swerve".[13]

On 20 June, the Singer-songwriter got his first international feature[14] as he premiers his new single "Yoruba Demon" on Complex Magazine. The single which features Problem Solved is said to be off the singers upcoming Album as reported by The Guardian Music.[15]
