Green death
Green death is a solution used to test the resistance to corrosion of metals. It typically consists of 11.5-11.9 wt% sulfuric acid, 1.2-1.3 wt% hydrochloric acid, 1 wt% iron(III) chloride and 1 wt% copper(II) chloride boiling at ~103 °C.[1] The solution may also be used to define the critical pitting temperature (CPT) or the critical crevice corrosion temperature (CCT) of an alloy.
