Gur Sidhu

Gursimran Singh Sidhu (born 11 July 1997), better known as Gur Sidhu, is an Indian singer, music composer and lyricist associated with Punjabi Music and Punjabi cinema. Sidhu is best known as music director for singles "8 Parche", "Pyar Bolda" , "Regret" , "Taare" with Sidhu Moose Wala and "Bro Oye". His songs "8 Parche", "Pyar Bolda" , "Subah Jatt Da" with Amrit Maan have featured in various music charts including Global YouTube music charts.[2] Gur Sidhu's debut single as singer, music composer was "Moved On".

Music career

Sidhu was born in Bathinda, Punjab. After graduation Sidhu moved to Canada and there he released his first song "Moved On" on 8 May 2019.[3] Later, his song "8 Parche" with Baani Sandhu was released in September 2019 under the label of White Hill Music. As of April 2020,the song "8 Parche" has been viewed over 450 million times on YouTube.[4] In October 2019, his song "Pyar Bolda" with Jassa Dhillon was released which has been viewed over 40 million times on YouTube.[5] He finally got his breakthrough with single "Bro Oye",[6] released by White Hill Music. In the same year he sang, wrote and composed "Challa" for the Punjabi feature film Ardab Mutiyaran starring Ninja and Sonam Bajwa.[7]

Sidhu composed hit songs such as "Subaah Jatt Da" (sung by Amrit Maan),[8] "Taare" (sung by Sidhu Moose Wala),[9] and "Regret" (sung by R Nait).[10] [11] In 2020, he released "Sham Da Laara"[12] and "Fragrance"[13]
