Hannah Roberts (BMX cyclist)

Hannah Roberts (born August 10, 2001) is an American BMX freestyle cyclist.

Early life

On August 10, 2001, Roberts was born in South Bend, Indiana. Robert's mother is Betty Roberts. Roberts grew up in Buchanan, Michigan. In 2019, Roberts graduated from Buchanan High School.[1]

Career

Roberts began riding BMX at age 9.[1] Her cousin, Brett Banasiewicz, was one of the top BMX riders in the United States and served as a mentor for Roberts.[2][3] Roberts entered her first BMX competition in 2012.[1] In 2017, Roberts competed in Chengdu, China at the FISE World Series 2017 in Chengdu, China and became world champion.[2][3] In November 2019, Roberts won her second BMX world title.[4] Roberts became the first American to qualify in BMX freestyle for the 2020 Summer Olympics.[4]
