Harchandpur

Harchandpur (Hindi: हरचंदपुर) is a Block and satellite city of Lucknow in Raebareli district in the state of Uttar Pradesh,[1] India. Harchandpur was established by Harchand Rai a notable Kayastha around 400 years ago whose descentants are still inhabitants of Harchandpur & owners of lands in Harchandpur . On his name Railway Station was given the name Harchandpur. One of His descentant named Jai Narain Srivastava was appointed as First Station Master of Harchandpur Rly Station in 1893. This town serves as the main marketplace for the people living nearby. A railway station named Harchandpur(HCP) Railway Station is of great importance to a vast population of people living in nearby places. The Pin Code of the town is 229303 and there are 47 Gram panchayats under Harchandpur.[2] Harchandpur is also a Constituency under the district of Raebareli.[3]
