Henn GmbH

Henn GmbH is an international architecture company, renowned especially for its office and industry buildings. It is managed by Gunter Henn and 22 partners, with offices in Munich, Berlin, and Beijing. Its staff consists of around 350 associates, working in project teams of architects, interior designers, planners, and engineers.[1]

History

The company was founded in 1979 by Gunter Henn in Munich as the successor of the office of Walter Henn, who acted as partner up to 1989 (Henn + Henn Architekten). Since 2013 the company trades under the name of Henn GmbH.

Profile

Henn GmbH is active in the fields of cultural and office buildings, teaching and research, as well as design and production.

Projects like Autostadt in Wolfsburg, Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden and the project building in the BMW Research and Innovation Center in Munich have gained worldwide recognition. A number of bigger projects are being realized in China since 2010, among others the company headquarters for insurance companies China Life and Taikang Life, production facilities for BMW in Shenyang, and the science city Nanopolis in Suzhou.

The range of activities includes programming, architectural design, interior design, urban design and master planning, quantity surveying, construction management, and sustainability.

Henn Gmbh ranks 41 on the list of the 100 architecture firms with the highest global turnover[2] and 17 on the list of European top 50 architecture firms.
