Illarion Mgeladze

Illarion Vissarionovich Mgeladze (1890-1941) (pseudonym - Ilya Vardin ) was a Georgian revolutionary active in the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party.[1] He was a member of the Left Opposition and was expelled from the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1927. He recanted in 1929 and was readmitted to the party, only to be expelled again in 1935. Sentenced to ten years imprisonment, he was shot in 1941.[1]
