Ishaku Elisha Abbo

Senator Ishaku Abbo is a Nigerian politician. He hails from Muchalla Ward, Mubi-North LGA of Adamawa State. He is the senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in Adamawa State at the Nigerian 9th National Assembly.[1][2] He is currently a member of All Progressive Congress APC.[3]

Political career

On 23 February 2019, Abbo was elected as the Senator representing Adamawa North, having polled 79,337 votes as against the incumbent senator, Binta Masi Garba of the APC.

Life

Senator Ishaku Abbo was born in Gova, Muchalla ward of Mubi North LGA Adamawa State were he lived his early life before moving to Abuja. He is a philanthropist who has been touching many lives in his community and the country at large for more than 20 years. His passion ranges from poverty eradication to education where his footprints are visible through entrepreneurship development including small scale business financing and training, scholarship awards for the less privilege, etc. On February 23, 2019 Senator Ishaku Abbo won the Adamawa North Senatorial election in a landslide victory over incumbent Senator Binta Masi Garba and was inaugurated on the 11th of June, 2019 as Senator of the Federal Republic. Determination to bounce back after facing challenges of life symbolizes the rise of great men. This characterized the deposition of Senator Abbo who was faced with great challenges from which he emerged stronger and more resilient due to his doggedness and tenacity. Senator Abbo has been a successful political consultant before becoming a Senator, he has traveled and lived in countries such as Australia, United Kingdom, Kenya, Uganda and the United States of America. accumulating immense experience and education as a community mobilizer, advocate and a result oriented politician with excellence in performance. Senator Ishaku Abbo grew up a humble son of a lowly farmer in Gova Muchalla Village, he lost his loving mother at a young age and had to face life like an adult even as a child. His determination to make it in life against all odds gave him the push to break grounds and carve a niche for himself, quickly becoming the breadwinner of his family. He is an individual with great capacity and a penchant for excelling in all ramifications of his endeavor. Senator Ishaku Abbo is a molded politician that has passed through the proverbial fire and emerged on the other side refined and tempered.

In September 2020, The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Maitama, dismisses a case against the humanitarian Senator after evidence of a doctored footage of CCTV of the senator defending his sister was leaked to the media
