Jaban al-Kurdi
Abū Maymūn Jābān al-Kurdī (Arabic: أبو ميمون جابان الكردي, Kurdish: Cabanê Kurdî), also referred to as Jaban Sahabi (Arabic: جابان صَحَابِيٌّ, romanized: Jābān Ṣaḥābiyy, lit. 'Jaban the Companion'), was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.[1][2]

In the year 18 after Hijra (approximately 639 CE), he came back to Kurdistan to preach Islam in his homeland.
Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani mentions in his book Finding the Truth in Judging the Companions, 10 prophetic ahadith which were narrated by Jaban.[3] Jaban's son Abu Basir was a Tabi'i.
